The Elemental
The Journey ch.1 Tails of a Dragon



Long ago, deep with in the dark void between the stars somewhere in our galaxy, 11 energy-based creatures floated through space looking for a place to call home. They where known as the Elementals, and they represented the natural elements that make up the universe: fire, water, ice, wind, thunder, light, darkness, metal, earth, nature, and energy. They eventually found a small planet. The planet was barren, flat, and empty when they arrived. They decided to terraform this little planet into a new green beautiful that they named Tarrose, after the spirit of earth. The planet was so flat that they had to raise the land to allow for the formation of oceans. The spirit of earth raised four continents from the ground, the northern continent of Antrean, the western continent of Gragga, the eastern continent of Elloreatta, and the southern continent of Ballorron. Then the spirit of water flooded the land in between the continents with two vast oceans, the inner ocean called the Antlaren Ocean and the outer ocean between Elloreatta and Gragga called the Intairren Ocean. With these to major changes complete, each of the Elementals took a section of land and molded it to their own desires. Fire, water, earth, metal, and nature choose Gragga. Wind, thunder light and darkness choose Elloreatta. Ice got the entire continent of Antrean mainly because of the fact that it had already been mostly frozen over by the polar icecap. Finally, energy got the southern continent of Ballorron to himself. Once the planet was completed, they brought other creatures from a near by planet to live along side. Among them was a advanced race known as the humans race.
However, in the Elemental's race there is a tradition, once they terraform a planet, they take the form of a small gem called the Crystals of the Elementals. They stay in this form until they gain enough power to move on or until they are needed to heel the world. but the Elementals where different from the others of their raise, they had fought in a great war ageist a great evil force only known as the Army of the Apocalypse. In the end with one of their own sacrificing himself to seal the army with in a green star and with the last of his strength, he lunched the star into the void of space. His comrades, in fear that his name would break the seal, would only refer to this spirit as the 12th spirit. The 12th spirit himself was transformed into a small moon like plant that now circles the planet of Tarrose. It would come to be called the green moon for its light green surface and glow.
Even though the Army was sealed away, the Elementals felt that if their evil would ever return that they would be their first target would be themselves and their new home planet. Therefore, before the Elementals took their gem forms, they selected 11 humans to wield their power and combat the evil shawl it ever return. The 11 warriors passed on their power trough the generations through a ceremony of selection, but the tradition has been lost over the millenniums. Once they had chosen their warrior, each of spirits incased themselves in a gem forms of varying size and shape. Afterward the warriors hid the crystals in secret resting pleases of the spirits choosing, somewhere on the planet. They also left a legend among the people of Tarrose: If the planet ever falls into danger, the 11 warriors will return, reunite the crystals, and save the world.
In the time sense their arrival, each of the Elementals had their own story of their powers, lives, secrets and legends. These legends where said to have been gathered in a single book. And they say that the Elementals pleased a type of spell that allows the Elementals to add any stories they want, when ever they want, even in crystal form. It links their minds to the book allowing them to transfer their story to the book, instantly writing it down. However, it was lost over the thousand of years and thus broke the connection. Nevertheless, some stories from the book are still past down as wife's tails, legends and myths.
The Story of the Fire
The most powerful of the Elementals was the great spirit of fire, Volcanos. He was a giant crimson and red dragon with a tail like a whip and huge bat-like wings. He could also breathe and control fire. His power was so strong he could control any Volcano and create firestorms that can engulf an entire continent in five minutes, yet he could also stop it in the blink of an eye. They also say he loved to live in and near volcanoes. He loved it so much that he built a huge temple out of magma and lava in a volcano where he lived until he became a crystal. His last wish was that he should be buried deep within his temple.
Our adventure begins 1,000 years after the Elemental's arrival on Tarrose, in Flares City in the land of Fire, with a young man named Jack Embs. Jack is an adventuress young swordsman. He has always dreamed about going on magical adventures to far off lands. Jack spends most of his time with his 10 friends. Their names are Riana, Sara, Walter, Zack, Joe, Jeff, Mac, Matt, Rose, and Mike. They all formed a club they called The Weapons Masters. The reason they called them selves the Weapons Masters was that each one of them is skilled in a different weapon. They are not just skilled in different weapons, but they each have a different personalities and life stories. Most of The Weapons Masters are 18-years-old but Joe, Jeff, Matt, and Rose are 17-years-old and Mac is 19-years-old. The Weapon Masters also all go to the same school: Inferno Academy, a boarding school in the middle Flares City. The Inferno Academy is the most renowned school on Tarrose not only for its academics but for the self protection and combat teaching as well as a place were royalty, clans and powerful families choose to send their children. Jack, Riana, Sara, Walter, Zack, Mac and Mike are seniors and Joe, Jeff, Matt, and Rose are juniors at Inferno Academy.
Jack Embs is the young imaginative leader of the Weapons Masters and the creator of the club. He always is coming up with different moves and techniques. His weapon is an elegant and stylized brad sword, but he knows how to use two of these brad swords at once. Also In Jack's family, there is a mystical sword passed down from generation to generation through a sort of right of passage for the first-born of the Embs family. Its name is the Dragon King Sword. It is a large broad sword with a highly stylized blade and dark red flames in the flat section of the blade. There also is large flat ruby gem clenched vertically in four dragon-like claws at the end of the handle. The sword was extremely sharp but for some reason no one could ever get it to cut anything, not even sand. But sadly, 5 years ago, Jack's father mysteriously disappeared. And so, the sword still hangs on the wall right were his father left it, never passed down to Jack.
Riana and Sara Hydraira are twin sisters. Riana is a girly girl. She wears very girly cloths and styles her long brown hair, yet she has a very calm go-with-the-flow attitude. Riana's weapon she specializes in is the trident. However, Sara is what you would call a girly tomboy. She likes to play sport and wears boy's cloths, but she still enjoys girly thing like giving girly touches to her cloths and short brown hair like curling the tip upward. Sara's uses axes are her weapons of choose.
Walter Winston is the genie of the group. He is extremely intelligent with an IQ of 200, but he is a quick thinker. He also has a thing for action and drama novels, so he every time he goes to a new town he instantly searches the bazaars and stores for new books. He is also known as the tonfa master for extra ordinary abilities with the tonfa weapon.
Zack Zannrare is a wise cracking jokester and Walters' best friends. He loves jokes and he will laugh at anything he thinks funny, even if its not. However, in battle there is no one more series. He it is as if he is two different people: the class clown and the berserker. The Zannrare family is well known for their skills with the hammer in combat, so Zack's weapon of choose is obviously a hammer, but he made little change to the usual design; the end of the handle is bent almost 90 degree from the rest, like a gun handle. Not only are Zack and Walter the hammer and tonfa specialists of the team, but they are also excellent sharpshooters, Walter uses bow and arrow and Zack uses ether a crossbow or a riffle.
Joey 'Joe' Shines and Jeffrey 'Jeff' Shines are twin brothers, but the two are completely different. Joe always sees the upside of things and thinks positively. Meanwhile Jeff thinks of things in a slightly negative way and the things that are missing or incorrect. They both use spears as weapons, but they use different styles of attack, with Joe being a direct style, and Jeff being more of sneaky stealthy style.
Mac and Matt Mirres are both normal brothers, but their parents are divorced. They do not live with each other at home, but they go to the same school and are in the Weapon Masters. Mac Mirres is the older brother and he is a very quit and "to-him-self" kind of person and all way leans against a wall when never he can. They say the reason he is so quit, it is because of all that he went through with his parent's divorce has hardened him, so he finds it hard to express himself through word and open up to people. The only person he ever opens up to is his little brother and some times Jack and Mike. He may not be good with words, but when it comes to combat, he is a poet. He is an extremely good swordsman. However, unlike Jack, Mac uses a one handed long sword with some guard or shield on his opposite arm and he is the only person in the Weapon Masters who is left handed. Therefore, he holds his sword in his left hand and arm guard on his right. He is also known as the ironclad detective because of his silences and his unusual ability to find out anything about anyone or any difference in people. Matt is the younger to Mac, so he does not remember very much about the divorce, so he is not as traumatized as Mac. He has a very caring personality. He always thinks of others, yet he can be cocky when a battle starts. Tending to charge in and not thinking about himself, even though his skills and specialization in his three bladed claw-like weapons usually gets him through it.
Rose Florrazzair is young brown haired girl with a love of nature. She is very kind and makes friends very easily. But don't get this tree hugger mad because she has a black belt in multiple martial arts styles and can use powerful pole-like weapon. There was even a time when she got so mad that she put three people in the hospital. She always had been seen trying to be hold herself back by fatling with her extremely long ponytail, like twirling it around her finger. Also there is a rumor that she has a crush on someone in the Weapon Masters, but she won't say. Every time someone asks her about it she will hit the person on the back of their head, she says 'It's none of your business!' and walk away mad. Her weapon of choose is a staff like pole weapon with weighted tips.
Mike Burster is the brave second in command of the Weapon Masters. He always does things his way, but he does listen to people, considers their ideas, and work them into his plan. He is a strategic genus, but if he's cot off guard, it tends to throw him off track. However, that rarely happened. He also does not like to see his friends loosing and innocent people or his friends being hurt. He is always a protective of his teammates, never purposely putting them in danger. Mike knows how to use many weapons, but he prefers to use a shield as his weapon.
One day Jack was walking home from school, when Riana came up behind him and they started talking while they walk. "Hay Jack, are you going to the concert in the park tonight?" Riana asked. He replied, "I don't know. I've got a lot of homework to do." "Come on, the whole gang is going," begged Riana. "Sorry but it's due tomorrow and my Mom is out of town at a conference in Flamestorm City, so I have to watch the house," Jack replied. "Oh that right Mrs. Embs is at that teacher's conference until next month. So is the burden of a teacher's son." said Riana with very theatrical tone. Then Jack replied, "Yeah don't I know it." Then they stopped at the corner were they normally part way, "Well this is my turn, I'll see you tomorrow," said Riana. They both said their good-byes and the two friends went their separate ways.
When Jack got home, he found his front door to the house wide open. "That's weird," he thought, "something doesn't feel right." "Jack…Jack….come to me Jack," said a deep mysterious voice. Someone's calling to me Jack thought. He walked inside and has an even stranger feeling. Suddenly he was blown against a wall by a mysterious energy. When he opened his eyes, he saw a strange red human-like creature covered in bone-white spikes and claws. Then the monster lunged at Jack, but he rolled out of the way. Then he saw The Dragon Kings Sword lying on the flour near him, knocked of the wall by the energy blast. The voice called to him again, "Grab it Jack, use it." Jack grabbed and drew the sword from its sheath. He stood up and held the sword out ready to fight. The sword began to resonate and the silver metal blade began to glow light red. Then the monster lunged at him once again. Jack swung the sword and it sliced the monster in half with one cut. Then the monster just vanished in the blink of an eye.
After the fight, The Dragon Kings Sword began to glow bright red. The light was so bright that Jack could not see. Then the light grew dim, but then Jack realized that he was not in his house anymore. He was flouting in a field red fog and light. "Where am I?" said Jack. Then he saw a small orb of red light form in front of him. It grew bigger and brighter until it was the size and shape of a dragon. The creature spoke in a deep powerful voice like the voice from before. "Hello, Jack. I am the spirit of fire, Volcanos. I have chosen you to weald The Dragon Kings Sword and control the elemental power of fire," it said, "When you return you must go to the park. Your friends need your help. And you will also meet an old friend of mine there who will tell you more." Then he began to disappear. "No! Wait!" said Jack. However, it was too late. Volcanos had vanished. Then a bright light flashed in Jack's eyes. When he opened his eyes, he was back at home.
Immediately after the strange encounter with Volcanos, Jack started searching the wrecked house for a phone that wasn't damaged. He finally found one that worked and he called Riana's mobile phone. The line was ringing for a minute, when he heard someone pick up he immediately said, "Riana, I need to talk to you! I will meet you at the park and call the others. I need to" Riana interrupted Jack and said, "Jack! There are these strange red and white creatures here attacking everyone. We need your help! Rinnnnnng" The line went dead. "Riana, Riana!" Jack yelled in to the phone. Then he through down the phone and grabs the sheath off the floor. Then he put The Dragon Kings Sword into its sheath, swings it over his shoulder, and he ran out the front door with it slamming behind him.
When Jack got to the park, the concert was in chaos. He found that his friends where being chased by the same creatures from before. "Not these guy's again," Jack said. Then he drew his sword and charged in and all the monsters started attacking him one at a time. He started slashing away at the monsters. With each time he destroyed one, his sword glowed brighter and brighter until the light seemed to turn into flames. Then Jack heard Volcanos voice: "Jack, tell every one to get down. Then say Flame Wave Slash and release all the energy in your sword in one swing." "Ok," said Jack. Then he yelled, "Everyone, get down, NOW!" then Jack raises his sword, his sword started glow even brighter. Then he called, "Flame Wave Slash!" When he swung his sword, a huge amount of flame and energy was released in one huge wave. It hit all the monsters, and they vanished in an instant.
Once the battle was over Jack and his friends gathered in the center of the park. "Jack, how'd you do that?" Mike asked. Jack replied, "It's kind of a long story." "Go ahead we've have the time," Mac said. "Ok," said Jack, "Here goes nothing." And so, Jack tolled his story. When the story was over, they all started talking. "So, you got to meet one of the Elementals!" Joe said. Jack replied, "Yah, but it was more like he came to meet me and he wanted all of us to come here to meet an old friend of his." "I wonder who that old friend is?" asked Rose. Then out of nowhere, a voice says, "I think I can answer that."
Suddenly three purple orbs appeared. The orbs started spinning around in a circle. Then the orbs began to spin up in a spiral until they met and became one large orb. Then a voice came from the orb in a deep echoing tone, "Greetings Weapons Masters, I am the spirit of energy, Tri'ose." "You must be the one Volcanos was talking about," said Jack. "Yes," Tri'ose said, "I've come to tell you that you 11 have been chosen to become the new 11 worriers of the Elementals and weald the Crystal Weapons of the Elements. Each of you will be given the powers of one of the Elementals, Fire, Water, Ice, Wind, Thunder, Light, Darkness, Metal, Earth, Nature, and Energy and to take upon the mantel of the 11 warriors of legend. I have also come to tell you of the approaching danger. The Apocalypse Amy has been freed from their prison and they are coming here Tarrose. It is an army of dangers monsters, beasts and evil creatures coming to find the Elementals in our crystal form. The Apocalypse Army is an ancient enemy of our race, so there trying to find the crystals and destroy us or worse." Matt asked, "Or worse what?!" The spirit replied "Or worse they might use our powers to rule the universe! So we, the Elementals have chosen you 11 to find us, defend this planet and defeat The Apocalypse Army. But it this won't be easy. They have 11 worriers just like all of you. There called the Generals of the End and each one is capable controls a different element like all of you will. Also their terrible leader is coming as well: Endrafin the Emperor of the End. His power is beyond compare."
"But why did you pick us?" asked Jeff. "When we sensed the 12th spirit's seal was weakening and the worriers where gone from this world, each Elemental picked one human on Tarrose and infused his or her chooses so all of you would end up here to day. However, we never dreamed of how all of this would turn out. We never desired all of you to form your club or become so close, some even protested, but you became a team on your own choosing so there was nothing we could do," Tri'ose said. "So how are we going to find the crystals? They were scattered all over the world a thousand of years ago," asked Walter. Tri'ose replied, "With these!" Suddenly his glow intensified and a digital watch like device appeared on each of the Weapon Master's wrists. When the light dimmed and Tri'ose continued, "These are your tracker watches. They can locate your crystals, store your weapons, and allow you to communicate with each other no matter where you are."
Suddenly, Jack and Mike's trackers began to beep. "Our crystals are close!" said Mike. "Where is the watch pointing?" asked Jack. "I think it's pointing at your sword!" said Zack. "That means!" "Yes Jack. "Yes, The Dragon King Sword is your crystal weapon of fire," said Tri'ose. "Wait a minute. My tracker is pointing at you, Tri'ose," Mike announced. "I wouldn't expect anything less from my Worrier of Energy," said Tri'ose. Mike had a mixed expression of shock, excitement and anticipation. Then Tri'ose said, "While I'm here, I should give you this!" Ones again Tri'ose glowed brighter and then a small purple three-sided-pyramid-shaped gen floated down to Mike. "Take it, it's yours," said Tri'ose. Then Mike reached out and grabbed the floating gem. Suddenly it began to emit blinding a purple light. A few seconds later, the light dissipated and the crystal had formed a huge circular shield separated into three sections, each one is a different shade of purple with a sharp silver rim and the crystal embedded in the center like a spike. "Congratulations Mike, you have been chosen to weald the crystal weapon of energy, The Trinity Shield. Also you now have the power to create fields of energy, make objects out of energy like light and control all forms of energy around you," said Tri'ose.
"Now Weapon Masters go south from the land of fire, to the land of earth and to the Gigataras Mountain Rang, the earth tracker will reveal its self and lead you from there," instructed Tri'ose, "Good-bye Weapon Masters and good luck," and Tri'ose split back into the three lights and disappeared into Mike's shield. Then they immediately left the next morning for there new adventure!
